Richard Gozdecki
I’m a lad from Leamington Spa. I’m a proud dad of one, Henry, and husband to an amazing wife, Rebecca.
I spent most of my working life at Rolls Royce as an aerospace engineer and finished my engineering career at Jaguar Land Rover.
I love watching sports, playing sports, trying new activities and socialising.
I own a gym in Leamington Spa called The Workout Mill. It’s a ‘spit and sawdust’ gym with the most amazing kit and people.
We are known for our community and atmosphere. The gym is a representation of how I would always want a gym to be. Fun, friendly and supportive, working to great values with strong work ethics. It’s a breeding ground for those who want to change, and those who want to compete.
From 6-16, I was a keen swimmer training 11 times per week around school times. This dedication and commitment culminated in winning a British Junior Championship in 200m Breaststroke.
From 16-21, I spent weight training in a small local sports centre. I competed in a number of strongman competitions. At 23, I won Blackpool’s Strongest Man.
By 26, I had developed a strong natural physique and wanted to show it off in a bodybuilding competition. I competed and won the NPA Northern Novices and also took the Overall title.
I was hooked. Over the next 13 years I travelled the world in a pair of pants winning multiple British, European and World titles:
I’ve also dabbled in powerlifting and rowing performing well against established specialists. In 2014, I took the BDFPA British Heavyweight and Overall title with a British record squat. I’ve competed in Concept 2 indoor rowing competitions; I placed 3rd in the European Championships and 2nd in the British.
I help regular guys who have lost confidence in their bodies to get in shape, stay in shape and feel better about themselves for life.
I’ve spent the past 20 years educating myself and manipulating my own body through training and nutrition to understand what works and what doesn’t work. I use all this knowledge to help other guys do the same. Seeing the guys on my team achieving goals and breaking boundaries fills me with as much joy as winning a world title.
The lads become a representation of my career in bodybuilding, and I love being part of their transformation, physically and mentally.

Having completed a 20-week plan, Jag now sets goals for building and cutting phases with his body, much like a bodybuilder. His sights are set for the future to better the shape he got in last time. I feel that with Jag’s new mindset he could accomplish anything he sets his mind to.

Mark Gozdecki
Timeframe:
8 weeks
Goal:
Weight loss, lifestyle change
Outcome:
7kg drop
Mark has always been told that genetics are the reasons he gets good results from the gym. I fear they may have let him down in the before shot. Mark proved that good nutrition, consistent training and moderating bad food and drink choices are the only way to get in shape. Genetics do not even come into it.
